MU Online Boss Damage Ranking System

MasterMU boss rewards are decided by the highest total group damage, not by the highest individual player damage. Players in the same group, also called a party, have their boss damage added together.

How the Boss Damage Ranking Works

StepBoss Ranking Rule
1Each player's damage against the boss is recorded.
2Damage from players in the same group is added together.
3A solo player is compared using only that player's total damage.
4The group or solo player with the highest final total receives the boss drop.

Group Damage Formula

Player B Damage+Player C DamageGroup Total
1,900,000+1,250,0003,150,000

Group Total Damage = Damage from every player in the same group.

Boss Damage Ranking Example

Player A fights solo. Player B and Player C fight in the same group.

CompetitorIndividual DamageRanking TotalResult

Player B — Group1,900,0003,150,000 combinedWinning group
Player C — Group1,250,0003,150,000 combinedWinning group

Player A has the highest individual damage, but the combined damage of Player B and Player C is higher. Their group wins the boss ranking and receives the drop.

Important Boss Ranking Rules

RuleExplanation
Group Total WinsThe ranking compares total group damage, not the strongest individual member.
Same Group OnlyOnly players belonging to the same group have their damage combined.
Solo ParticipationSolo players can win, but their individual total must exceed every competing group's combined total.
Drop DecisionThe highest final total determines which group or solo player receives the boss drop.

Teamplay Strategy

Form a group before fighting the boss and keep all damage dealers working on the same target. Several consistent players can overcome a stronger solo player through combined damage.

This system rewards coordination and gives organized groups a competitive chance instead of deciding the drop only by the strongest individual character.

Tie-breaking rules and the internal distribution of the winning group's drop are not specified in this guide.
